Our Elders

Gorrie Bible Fellowship is led by a group Elders.

The Elders provide spiritual direction and care for the congregation.



Gary Goodkey (Pastor)

Gary is a graduate of Kawartha Lakes Bible College and Briercrest Bible College and has been in pastoral ministry almost 20 years. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors. He lives in Gorrie with his wife Diane and their family.

Raymond peterson

Raymond Petersen

Raymond is a graduate of the University of Waterloo. He is trained as an accountant and works in financial services. He and his wife Anne and their family live on a farm north of Fordwich.

Piet van den boogaard

Piet Van den Boogaard

Piet was born in Holland and came to Canada in 1982. He has been pig farming since 1988. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors. He lives on a farm just south of Gorrie with his wife Ann and their family.


Jonny Byles

Jonny works as a millwright for an automotive manufacturer, seeking to live as a follower of Christ in his workplace.  He is a graduate of New Tribes Bible Institute and loves teaching the Bible.  Jonny and his wife Kelly led the youth ministry at Gorrie Bible Fellowship for many years.  They have three children.  In his spare time, Jonny enjoys playing the guitar!


Dave Ducommun

Dave is a graduate of Trintiy International University.  He and his wife, Lynanne have been part of New Tribes Mission since 1982 and have been involved with Gorrie Bible Fellowship since 1995.  They have four grown children and eight grandchildren.  Dave loves studying and teaching the Bible and encouraging spiritual growth among fellow believers.



Youth Pastor


Tyler Van Halteren

Tyler spent three years studying at the Master’s Seminary in California before coming to Gorrie Bible Fellowship in 2014. His passion is to see youth follow wholeheartedly after Jesus Christ by serving the church and seeking the lost. He enjoys playing music and various outdoor activities. He lives in Gorrie with his wife Katie.
